Our deep condolences to our fellow class 1972 Dymphna Urgello Ybanez and the Urgello family. Dr. Virgilio Urgello passed away peacefully in his house on February 15. Vivien Alix-Seno was his attending physician as well as Jason Villegas. He was a UST graduate- class of 42. He was buried on the 20th of Feb. with the Urgello-Sarmiento Clan in full force, as well as relatives and friends on both sides of the family. Among those attending were his old friends and our professors in CIM: Dr. Gandencio Hermossisma, Dr. Maglasang, Dr. Lim Chiu and Maida's dad, who was a classmate of my father, Dr. Benigno Antigua. Dr. and Mrs. Juan Maderazo. Mrs. Rosita Arcenas, the late Dr. Arcenas widow, was there too. Being both widows we had long talk on how I can cope with all that has happened. From Dymphna. Ray and Emma Castillejo's son, Michael Castillejo, tied a knot with his fiancee on December 20, 2002, that would take them to a lifetime journey of being together for better or for worse. The girl is a Filipina-Hawaiian and they had their wedding in a beautiful beach in Hawaii where tuxes and gowns were unnecessary. The pictures below will speak better for it.
Our Class 1972's heartfelt condolences to Dymphna Urgello Ybanez and her family. Ralph Ybanez, Dymphna's husband, passed away on December 13, 2002 after a short bout of a liver ailment. He presented himself with a sudden onset of ascites in October 2002 and was found to have hepatoma.
We'd like Dymphna not to hesitate to tell us of the Class 1972 if there is anything we can help her with aside from our prayers.
