  Dear Fellow Alumni:

The end of 2005 is fast approaching – and what a year!  For our ASOCIMAI, it has been quite productive.  With a set of old and new faces on the board, a new vision and a sense of energy and purpose, your board has some exciting news.

The last alumni reunion in Chicago was a huge success.  Although, as in years past, we just about broke even with our reunion proceeds, we did obtain several nonrestricted grants from our friends in the pharmaceutical industry.  And best of all, led by most of the board members who came up with a $1000 pledge per member, we obtained pledges from 48 alumni members.  Because of the generosity of these members, the board followed through with the suggestion of renovating all the existing restrooms of our alma mater, the Cebu Institute of Medicine.  In the process, the architect also made plans to add 4 new small group discussion rooms, which had been on the wish list of CIM since the accreditation team had targeted the lack thereof as one of the deficiencies of CIM.  The cost of the entire project is $ 40,000.

We have already raised a portion of that money but WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP! If you had given your pledge at the reunion in Chicago, please consider sending in your voluntary contribution now, before the year ends.  Your contribution is fully TAX-DEDUCTIBLE.  Our TAX ID number is 22-3695805.  If you had not yet pledged, we hope you follow the example of our generous members and consider donating.  It is time we commit ourselves to funding our foundation because it is the only way we can hope to continue with charitable projects here and in the Philippines.

Please make your check out to ASOCIMAI and write DONATION TO FOUNDATION on the memo line and send it in to:

         DR. EVANGELINE ECARMA
        Treasurer, ASOCIMAI

Send it NOW, before year’s end to qualify for the 2005 tax deduction.
